Burna Boy Turns 35: Celebrating Africa’s Global Music Icon

Grammy Award-winning Nigerian music star Burna Boy is celebrating his 35th birthday today, marking another milestone in a career that has transformed him into one of Africa’s most influential global entertainers.

Born Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu on July 2, 1991, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Burna Boy has grown from a promising Nigerian artiste into an international music powerhouse whose unique blend of Afrobeats, reggae, dancehall and hip-hop has earned worldwide acclaim.

The singer first gained national attention with his 2012 hit single Like to Party before releasing his debut album L.I.F.E in 2013.
