In a resounding declaration of commitment to advancing Nigeria’s auto sector, Hon. Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi,
underscored the pivotal role of the auto industry in driving economic resurgence and fostering innovation.
Osiyemi who was represented by Director of Public Transport and Commuter Services for Lagos State, Engr. Olusoji Adebayo while he delivered an opening address at the Nigeria Auto Industry Summit organized by the Nigeria Auto Journalist Association held recently in Lagos.
Transport Commissioner emphasized Lagos State’s dedication to creating a conducive environment for industry stakeholders.
He highlighted the state’s strategic initiatives aimed at boosting collaboration, attracting investments, and spurring job creation within the sector.
“The theme of this event, ‘Developing Nigeria’s Economy through the Auto Industry,’ resonates deeply with Lagos State’s vision for sustainable economic growth,” remarked Osiyemi.
“We are committed to leveraging strategic partnerships and innovative initiatives to revitalize and expand our nation’s auto sector.”
He called for continued collaboration to build a resilient and competitive auto industry.
“With Lagos State at the forefront, Nigeria stands poised to harness the full potential of its auto sector, driving economic prosperity and enhancing the quality of life for its citizens.
The summit, served as a critical platform for dialogue and idea exchange among key stakeholders from Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa. Participants were urged to actively engage in discussions aimed at shaping the industry’s future trajectory.
