The Director of Transport Operations at the Ministry of Transportation (MOT), Engr. Olasunkanmi Ojowuro, on Thursday represented the Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, at the Road Mobility Summit themed “Re-imagining an Inclusive Road Safety Strategy.”
The event, held at Lagos Continental Hotel, was organised by Uber in collaboration with the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation.
In his remarks, Ojowuro highlighted strategies being implemented by the Lagos State Government to protect lives and strengthen public trust in the transport system through safe and reliable mobility.
The summit was attended by key stakeholders, including Senior Transport Specialist/Road Safety Pillar Lead (virtual), Marisela Ponce de Leon; CEO, Drive Me NG, Mr. Damilola Odunlade-Akeju; Head of Driver Operations, West Africa, Uber, Mrs. Funmilola Hughes; Director, Public Transport and Commuter Services (PTCS), Engr. Olusoji Adebayo; representative of the General Manager, LASTMA, Deputy Controller Jubril Oshodi; representative of the Director, Transport Policy and Coordination, Town Planner Mrs. Funmilayo Quadri; and Senior Special Assistant on Education, Innovation and Transportation, Mr. Tobi Idowu.
Other transport safety specialists and dignitaries also participated in the summit.
