The 2024 Nigeria Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) CEO’s Retreat, held in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State from June 13-15, 2024, was graced by the presence of the Deputy Commissioner for Insurance, Mr Ekerete Olawoye Gam-Ikon, representing the Commissioner, Mr. Olusegun Ayo Omosehin.
The retreat, themed “Building Institutions That Survive Their Promoters,” brought together industry leaders and experts to discuss the importance of creating lasting legacies in the insurance sector.
In his goodwill message, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the relevance of building enduring institutions in today’s rapidly changing world.
“Institutions that outlive their founders represent sustainability, resilience, and continuous excellence, becoming pillars of strength for our communities and guiding us through times of change and uncertainty,” he said.
The Deputy Commissioner highlighted NAICOM’s commitment to creating lasting legacies through robust governance, innovation, and ethical practices.
He also acknowledged the crucial role insurance brokers play in promoting stability and security, and urged them to collaborate and learn from each other to ensure the institutions built today will thrive for generations to come.
The retreat provided a platform for industry stakeholders to share insights and strategies for building sustainable institutions, and the Deputy Commissioner’s message resonated with the participants.
